The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a compassionate initiative of the Australian government to provide support to Australians with disabilities and their families.

Understanding the NDIS

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a government-supported initiative designed to offer vital assistance to individuals with disabilities throughout Australia.

It aims to provide funds for disability-related services and supports, with the intent of helping individuals and their families improve their quality of life while achieving their goals.

The NDIS Journey

Step 1
Eligibility Check
The first step is to determine your eligibility for the NDIS. Once confirmed, you'll need to provide details about yourself and your disability, including specific support needs, personal goals, and any concerns related to your condition.
Step 1
Step 2
Planning Session
Discuss your needs and goals with an NDIS planner. Collaborate openly to share your preferences, allowing them to create a support plan that is tailored to your unique situation.
Step 2
Step 3
Plan Finalisation
Following the planning session, your NDIS planner will finalise your support plan based on your needs and goals. Make sure to review it thoroughly before approving and implementing it.
Step 3
Step 4
Selecting Providers
Once your plan is approved, you can select an NDIS provider who can offer the support according to your NDIS support plan. Do thorough research to whom you will entrust your NDIS journey. If you're on the new PACE system with the NDIS, you'll need to endorse your provider by calling them, signing a service agreement, and receiving a welcome pack to start services.
Step 4
Step 5
Ongoing Review
Regularly review your NDIS plan to ensure it still meets your changing needs and goals. If necessary, request adjustments to ensure you receive the support required to achieve your aspirations and improve your quality of life.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

The NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) is a program in Australia that provides support to people with disabilities, helping them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

The NDIS started in July 2013. It was introduced to provide better support for people with disabilities across Australia.

To prepare for the NDIS, gather information about your disability, think about your goals, and consider what support you need. Be ready to discuss these with your NDIS planner during your planning meeting.

To qualify for the NDIS, you need to meet these requirements:

  • Age: You must be under 65 years old.
  • Residency: You need to be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident, or hold a Protected Special Category Visa.
  • Disability: You must have a permanent disability that significantly affects your daily life.
  • Early Intervention: If support can help you live more independently in the future, you might also be eligible.

These guidelines help ensure the NDIS supports those who need it most, improving their quality of life and independence.

We offer a variety of NDIS services, including personal care, household tasks, community participation, employment support, and therapeutic supports. We tailor our services to meet your individual needs and goals.

To claim consumables with NDIS, you need to keep your receipts and submit them through the NDIS portal or app. Make sure your consumables are covered under your NDIS plan.

PACE is the new NDIS online portal that makes it easier to manage your NDIS plan. You can use it to view your plan, track your spending, and communicate with your providers.

To endorse us on PACE, log in to the PACE portal, find our service provider profile, and select the endorse option. This allows us to start providing services under your NDIS plan.
